Export & download responses (Excel, CSV, PDF)
Download your form responses as CSV, JSON, Excel or PDF — for all responses or just one.
Every response you collect can be downloaded for offline reporting, backups, or sharing with people who don’t have a Survtapp login.
Exporting all responses for a form
- Open the form and go to its Responses tab.
- Click the Export button.
- Choose a format: PDF report, Excel (XLSX), CSV or JSON.
- Your browser downloads the file — look in your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves files) once it finishes.
Choosing a format
- PDF report — a branded summary with per-question charts and a map of where responses were collected. Best for a readable report you can share or print.
- Excel (XLSX) — one row per response, one column per question. Best for further analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.
- CSV — the same row-per-response data as Excel, as plain comma-separated text. Best for importing into another system.
- JSON — the raw structured data, including every answer field. Best for developers or automated tools.
Exporting a single response
Open an individual response from the Responses list, then use the Export button on that response’s page. A single response can be downloaded as a PDF or an Excel (XLSX) file.
What’s included in an export
Along with every answer, each response in an export includes:
- When it was submitted.
- The agent or team member who collected it, if it wasn’t filled in directly by the respondent.
- The IP address it was submitted from.
- The location it was collected at, when location was captured.
Tips
- Filter the Responses list by status or date before exporting an "all responses" file to limit it to just what you need.
- Use the PDF report when you want something to hand to a client or manager as-is — it already includes charts and a location map.
- Use CSV or Excel when you plan to pivot, chart, or merge the data yourself.
