How does waiver signing work?
Build the waiver once — headings, paragraphs, checkboxes, initials and a signature block — or start from a template. Participants sign on a tablet at your front desk, on a kiosk-locked device, or from a link on their own phone. The signer gets a PDF copy by email; the signed record goes to your register.
Kiosk mode locks a tablet to the waiver so customers cannot wander into other apps, and signing keeps working offline: signatures captured in a dead zone queue on the device and sync when the connection returns.
What does a signed waiver record actually contain?
The signature and initials, the signing timestamps, the IP address, every consent checkbox as it was answered — and the exact waiver text as it was presented to the signer, retained with the record. If you edit your waiver next season, previously signed records keep the wording their signers actually saw.
Records are cryptographically integrity-checked, so any later alteration is detectable, and each signed waiver renders to a PDF that shows what was agreed to.
How do you manage hundreds of signed waivers?

Can participants sign a waiver before they arrive?
Yes — share the waiver as a link or QR code and participants sign from their own phone. Walk-ins sign on your tablet or kiosk when they arrive.
Does waiver signing work offline?
Yes. Signatures captured while a device is offline are stored locally with their timestamps and sync automatically when the connection returns.
Does the signer get a copy?
Yes — a PDF copy of the signed waiver is emailed to the signer automatically.
What if I change my waiver wording later?
Signed records keep the exact text that was presented when they were signed. New signers see — and are bound to — the new wording; old records are unaffected.
How do waiver expiry and renewal work?
Each waiver has a validity period you choose. Survtapp tracks expiry in the register, sends renewal reminders, and can request a fresh signature when a waiver lapses.
Are digital waivers legally valid?
Electronic signatures are widely recognized in Canada, the US and many other jurisdictions, but enforceability depends on your jurisdiction and how the waiver is drafted.
