Questions worth asking first
Is an electronic signature actually enough?+
Electronic signatures are recognised across Canada under PIPEDA and the provincial e-commerce acts. Survtapp records the things that get asked about later: who signed, the exact text they were shown, and when they agreed to it. The wording of your own terms is still a conversation for your counsel.
What happens when the venue has no Wi-Fi?+
Signing works entirely offline. The waiver is stored on the device and uploads on its own the next time the tablet finds a network — nothing is lost if the app is closed or the battery runs out mid-shift.
Can a guardian sign for a child?+
Yes. Add guardian name, relationship and signature fields and mark them required, so a minor’s waiver cannot be submitted without them.
Where is the signed waiver kept?+
In Canada. Survtapp is built in Canada and your data is hosted here, not shipped south of the border for processing.
What if we update our terms?+
Publish the new version and every waiver signed from then on uses it. Waivers already on file keep the version their signer actually read.
