What does an inspection look like in Survtapp?
The inspector opens the assigned checklist on their tablet and works top to bottom: pass or fail per item, a photo where evidence matters, a note where something needs context, the site’s GPS location captured with the run, and a signature to close it out. The whole record lands in your account the moment the device syncs.
Why does per-item photo evidence matter?
Because “fire extinguisher accessible — pass” is an assertion, and a photo taken at the extinguisher is a fact. Photos are attached at the item level during the inspection, so the evidence sits next to the finding it supports — in the record and in the exported PDF a client or regulator reads.
How do recurring inspections stay on schedule?
Schedule the checklist — weekly vehicle checks, monthly site inspections, quarterly audits — and each instance is created and assigned automatically with a due reminder. The overview shows what is completed, due and missed, which is the compliance picture an auditor asks for first.
Inspections work offline like everything in Survtapp: runs queue on the device and sync when the signal returns, keeping their original capture times.

Yes — build it item by item with pass/fail questions, photo items, notes, GPS and signature blocks, or start from a checklist template and adapt it.
Is the site location recorded?
Yes — the inspection can capture GPS coordinates, which resolve to a readable address on the record and in exports.
Can inspections be assigned to specific staff?
Yes. Scheduled inspections are assigned automatically and the assignee is reminded when a run is due.
What if the site has no connectivity?
The inspection proceeds normally — the run queues on the device with its capture time and syncs when the connection returns.
What does the exported inspection report include?
Every item’s answer, notes, the photos embedded alongside their items, the location, timestamps and the sign-off signature — as PDF or Excel.
Is there a limit on inspections?
Completed inspections count against your plan’s response allowance — 100 a month on the free plan. Each plan’s allowance is on the pricing page.
